inflation pressure 850

If you indy says 44psig, get another mechanic. That's the maximum inflation pressure for the tire, not what's recommended for a Volvo.

The tire pressures are supposed to be on a label on the fuel door, mine are. That’s where the owner's manual says to get the info. If the label is not there, ask your dealer, it varies with the tires you have.

My '97GLT says 36/36 for economy, 34F/31R normal load (or maybe full load, I forget). I have the stock tires on it.

36psig all the way around is way to hard, in my opinion.
