Looking at a 850 850

standard stuff the others have mentioned...plus...

top engine mount will be shot if it hasnt been done...but its an easy job...say a couple of low hastle hours...

if its an auto the box is a weak spot...and the differnece seems to be the fluid...before you buy get a peice of narrow guage hose that will fit down the dipstick hole and a syringe to go on the top...insert the tube down the gearbox dipstick hole and draw up fluid...remove hose and check the colour...

RED = good
Browny/red = not so good
Black = hmm maybe the other car?

as with all bricks full service history and evidence of carefull ownership is essential...

have to say my 850 is great - for a 8 YO 60K car....but compaired to my 940t i do find it a little uninvolving to drive...but onm the other hand that makes for relaxing...
