drip drip drip as i type.... 850

my aunt purchased a '94 volvo 850 wagon and had it inspected prior to purchase. took it in today for oil change, coolant flush, and to have it examined underneath due to finding a bit of oil in the drive- quite a bit, actually... apparently, it's the hose going to the turbo... the thing is, this car is in teriffic shape, recently tuned up, well maintained otherwise...but the hose, had been CUT to fit this spot, and it's pouring out the oil... i am still under warranty from a small dealer in this rural massachusetts town... does this sound familiar to anyone, please? just trying to learn a bit myself...

thanks in advance,
belle
