Jiffy Lube? S80

I agree...I have changed oil myself since an incident at Jiffy Lube. I took my then beater car, a '91 Chevy Corsica in for an oil change at Jiffy Lube over here in Whittier, CA. The guy working there told me that my oil pan threads were stripped, and then he had the nerve to refer me to his "buddy" who could drill a new hole for me and plug it back up. Anyway, I drove home to find that they had stripped the oil pan bolt. Luckily, I just bought a new bolt and things were fine since then. The bolt was stripped by them, but luckily not the pan, *sigh*. My friend's Toyota Camry oil pan was stripped by the dealer as well, but they replaced it free of charge. Long story short, if I was stuck working at a Jiffy Lube, I really wouldn't give a rat's about whose car I was working on. Fact of life. If you don't trust someone changing your oil, just do it yourself. And today I took my 850 in for alignment, and the guy topped off (overfilled) my oil free of charge!! My face dropped as he said that he topped it off, but hey, he meant well, so I just said "thanks" and drained it back to normal when I got home. Cheers!
