How accurate is 'distance to empty'? 850

I wouldn't push this issue of draining the tank too hard. Your fuel pump works harder as the tank gets empty, and as others mentioned you're more likely to suck in sediment and other stuff as you get to the bottom. If you live in colder climates, during winter you may even suck in some water from condensation in the tank etc and that may freeze your fuel line. My wife is notorious for getting down to the last 1-2 gallons and I let her know every time I find her 850 heading for "E"!
