850 Turbo Wagon Radio/CD Questions 850

Greetings. I am a new owner of an 850 Turbo Wagon. I have the SC-811 (I think) radio with cassette and was wondering where a CD Changer gets mounted in this car? Are they small enough to fit in the little compartments on the left or right in the trunk area? Doesn't seem to be much room in there. Also, how does the cable get run from the trunk area to the radio? Dealer said there is some sort of channel? Do I need to rip up the carpet? Should I just swap this radio out with a CD/Cassette stereo, i.e., the SC-815? BTW, what is the difference with all of the Volvo radios, I have seen SC-811, SC-814/815/816, etc, etc, etc, but can't find any info on the differences between all of these models.

Thanx!
