How accurate is 'distance to empty'? 850

I don't think it is odd at all. I mean I don't and have never purposely driven a car to empty, BUT find it can be a good thing if the car does run out of gas, because at least then if I am ever in a position that I need to know how far I can go before the next gas station, then I'll know where E actually is.

To each his own I guess.
