History or problems with '98 V70-XC70 1998

Thanks for the replies. I actually own this car and have it in today- again. The brake pads were replaced a year ago and i have put only 16,000 km on the car and now pads and discs need replacing again. I had the steering column replaced last year, lock assemblies changed twice, seat belts broken 3 times, and a wide variety of other "things" under the hood- each costing at least $200-300. I have two sets of tires- winter and summer, take good care of that. So now trying to decide whether to dump the car, get another Volvo or give up on Volvo. I haven't found them to be very good at getting behind their quality and, other than things in warranty, they haven't stepped up to the plate to make good. When you spend $55,000 for a car as I did in '98, I expect more from the car and the dealer than this.

Any thoughts?
