History or problems with '98 V70-XC70 1998

Unfortunately, the 1998 AWD V70 and the first 2 years of the V80 are pretty much the low point in Volvo vehicles, as far as problems go. Many 98 owners, as someone here said, are ok later. But others are not. It is why a year and a half ago I bought a 1999 FWD version. It has been great.

If you like the 1998-2000 style, suggest getting rid of your 98 for a 99 or 2000 model. Still might stay away from AWD unless you really need it. The AWDs are better in the 1999/2000 versions.
