Looking for infor about remote programming for 01 V70 2.4T V70-XC70 2001

Thanks for the info Rick. But it sure makes me wonder why/how the 2nd dealer I talked to today (a VERY posh Volvo dealership) said they could program them as long as the numbers on the back matched. Guess I'll take my remotes in and see if they can really make it happen or not. My thought was that when the remote button is depressed, it has to transmit it's code to the car. Whatever device they're using should be able to listen for and decipher that code and tell the car it's ok. I'll let everyone know after I go see the dealer who says he can do it.
