Help please....Air pump

I had a similar thing happen on my wife's 850 (1997) I checked all the items I could...fuses etc couldn't find anything so I reset the code and thought if it was really bad it would come back on. This happen a few weeks ago and so far the check engine light has not come back on. I will probally consider drilling the hole in the pump....VolvoLarry
