Service reminder V70-XC70 1998

I have a 98 V70 GLT wagon, and reviewing the Chilton manual it idicated the service reminder light is cleared using an OBDII scan device. I am using an INNOVA 3100 OBDII code reader, I went in to clear codes, and it does not reset the light. No where in the 3100 book does it list anything about service lights. Does anyone know how to deal with this other than going to a V0olvo shop??
