2000 v70 xc

Hi there -

A coworker friend is looking at buying a used 2000 Volvo V70 XC AWD SE Wagon 4D. The car dealer brought the car over to work today to take a test drive. The car looked clean - it has 39,000 miles on it.

The salesman said there is a noise coming from the front of the car when steering to the left....is this normal or should she stay away? sounds like a stay away to me....
