Service light on 2000 S70 GLT S70 2000

I had the same annoying light on at 60,000 miles. Since I just had sears put in a new battery, tires and an allignment I just had Volvo do a tune up, new filters (fuel - air - oil - etc) and an oil change.

I was shocked to hear they would not reset the service light since I did not have the entire $700 60,000 mile service job. I am not sure what kind of training you need to oil the hinges, antenna and inspect the gas cap for another $400. I just nodded and told myself to check the web tonight.
