automatic door lock at 15 mph? 850

I have a 95 850 wagon, and as I start out from home and reach abou 15 mph, there is a sound like the doors locking. I would not find this surprising except that they are not locked when I stop, so of course I had to open one Driver's) while driving over 15, and it still was not locked. Is there a setting for safety locks that is off on my car, or what the heck is the locking sound about?
