Help with strange electrical problem needed! 850

I have had a weird problem happen.

The signal lights will start flashing while I am driving the car, not driving the car, car turned off and key removed. Doesn't matter. Sometimes they will flash other times they will stay on constantly.

I have noticed that the red alarm light on the dash will usually be blinking when this occurs.

Has anyone else had this problem? Horn does not sound when the lights are blinking.

I thought it might be the alarm but here is the strange thing:

I drove home got out of car, with engine off and keys in hand and car unlocked the signal lights went on and stayed on. Not blinking just solid orange and on all the time.

I checked the fuse looked good but replaced with new fuse anyway and same problem.

I have since pulled the fuse and have not noticed the problem as often but the alarm light will still go off once in a while.

I spoke with a volvo service advisor and he thought the hazard relay might be shot.
