Which Flametrap? 850

I just got a flame trap kit from FCP Groton and I got 2 flame traps, one metal one plastic. The metal one looks like corrogated brass and is flat at both the top and bottom. The plastic one is concave on the top. My question is this: because the metal flame trap's holes are bigger than those in the plastic one, do you think that the metal flame trap will last longer without clogging?

Does anyone have any experience with both flame traps? Any preference?
