Waste Gate adjustment 850 1996

Hi all,

I've a 1996 845 T5, it seems not to be responsive as it used to be. I looked through some BB threads, and they mention cheking the waste gate. I reached the waste gate and pulled at the pushrod, and it seems loose, well it has a little play in it.

My question is how tight should this be, and how can i check the pushrod is setup correctly. I've looked at

but i know if i wind it up i may do damage, how do i know how much it should be wound?
