I wouldn't.

The 850 is going to be less reliable than the V70 just because it's older. Sell the V70 when it wears out.

$5000 is something you'll go on to consider a trivial amount compared to the $40,000 cost of sending your new baby to a private college for just ONE year. Trust me.
