What Grade of Oil to use? 850 1996

You can always mix synthetic motor oil with regular "mineral" motor oil. The Chevron brand you've got is probably not synthetic but don't be afraid to mix Mobil 1 5W-30 with it. Its not going to harm anything. The only bad thing is that the molecular structure of the synthetic motor oil will be "diluted" by the regular "mineral" oil so the benefits of synthetic motor oil(i.e., better viscosity, etc.) will be decreased. Just in case you were wondering, I am not affiliated with both companies. I've just used their products and have been very happy with their performance. Once you try either of them you'll never go back to Mobil 1. Don't get me wrong. Mobil 1 is a great product but its not the best synthetic motor oil out there. And I was a die-hard Mobil 1 fan for a long time.
