Keep the USA V70 2001 in Canada? V70-XC70 2001

I have a 2001 V70 coming off lease soon and we are debating buying it out at lease end. After seeing the negative comments here concerning that model I'm seriously reconsidering it. What kind of repairs have you made to yours?

Can you trade in a US model in Canada?
