Keyless remote

So long as you buy a volvo factory remote (Ebay most of the time) it should be OK. I have programming instructions acquired elsewhere that are supposed to be all you need for pre-98 remotes. They read as follows:

PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS FOR VOLVO 93-97
Turn the ignition key off and on five times, (not to start position, but the on position), pausing 1 second between each, and on the fifth time leave in the on position and press one of the buttons on the remote. This will program
that remote to the car. If you have more than one remote, up to three remotes, press a button on
the other remotes as well, within 10 seconds of the button press of the first remote.
That's it!!!!

They came with assurances that it really works, but I haven't needed to use it yet.
