I'd start with a subscription to http://www.alldatadiy.com. It
will cost $25 for a year. It will give you the entire procedure
and lists all the special tools needed. You can review it and
determine if it is something you can do.
Tools are the biggie. You need a special crane/lift that bolts to
the top of the strut towers over the engine. It is used to hold
the engine in place while the transmission is removed. Tools like
that are something you need to know in advance. Even if you can't
get the tools it allows you to think of an alternate way to do it
before diving in.
