Valentine One

On the Volvo I have the remote display mounted on the lighter adapter, which in turn is plugged directly into the lighter socket. It only requires a glance down when it goes off to check on the arrows. Since there is limited space to mount the remote display on the SVC70 dash this was a "temporary" solution but it's worked well enough that I've kept it that way for the last 125,000 miles! Another advantage is that if I want to shut it off, I simply pull the adapter and remote unit just a little bit upward.

The shift boot simply pops up on the 5-speed manual, it doesn't require any tools, I don't know about the AT. The "A" pillar trim simply snaps off and on, I've had both trim pieces on and off more times than I can count. The glove box can be removed after removing the door and a number of torx screws and pulling it outward. I managed to squeeze the power cord out between the dash top and the firewall. I also bought a longer length of cord than the one supplied by Valentine, it was the shortest one I found at Home Depot but it was still way to long!

Good luck!

-Punx
