smoking exhaust when idling 850

I have a '97 T-5 wagon with 100K. I have used this board to fix numerous problems and I'd like to thank everyone for their expertise and assistance. I also have another problem that I need assistance with. I've been recently having a problem with exhaust smoke when the car is in park or neutral. This evening, I was in a traffic jam on the highway for over an hour moving at about 5 mph. After awhile, the exhaust began to smoke and the idle became rougher as I inched forward. However, at speed the car runs great, has no smell and has no CEL or codes showing using OBDII tool. Also, after the car is warmed up, when idling there is a distinctive oil smell in the cabin. I've had this problem before and I had the front cam seals replaced and the problem went away for awhile. Now it only seems to smell this way after the car is warmed up and parked or at idle. I've replaced the oil cap gasket, turbo oil return line and the cam seals. The car apparently is burning oil. What could be causing this? I did have a response awhile back that suggested a valve issue. I'd love to get more input. thanks.
