HELP - ECM / Control Module S80 2000

Why did you think it was the ECM in the first place? I have a similar car (V70), and I've found I can't do anything with the electronics without going to the dealer. Even when my transmission was shifting a little harch, I needed to go and get it reprogrammed. So, I would suspect that with a new ECM, you would still need to go to the dealer to get the car's network to recognize it. The dealer has the proprietary computer diagnostics necessary for this car. A few large independents might have it, but it is far too expensive for most small indy's to buy.

About all I can do with my V70 is fluids, filters and brakes.

Good Luck, Tom
