1st Generation V70's - High Mileage & Problems V70-XC70

Abuelito, have you changed the timing belt yet. If you haven't that should be your first priority, as rec schedule change is 70K miles.

Regular oil changes about every 4 to 5K miles with a Mann oil filter and a tranny flush every 25K miles, should make the drivetrain last a long time.

If you use the AC regularly, change the air cabin filter every 10K miles and turn off the ac 2 min before you arrive at your destination. This would allow the ac evaporator to dry out to prevent rot and mildew and the dreaded ac evap failure.

So don't worry about the mileage, take care of you baby and she'll go a long way.

Buena suerte.
