'96 Limp Clutch 850

I have a 98 with a clutch. Here are my thoughts: The twang you hear
when the clutch is let out is probably not related. This is a
fairly common problem (a screeching sound). Others have
reported it. Mine has been doing it for 30K miles.

I bled my clutch at 60K. I got a little air in the line and the
clutch pedal would not come back up. It seems a small amount of air
in it would cause this problem. I had to re-do the bleed and had
to be very careful about how it was done. So, I suspect you have
some air in the system causing the problem. What I can't say is
why there is air in the line; but, if it was bled recently then
I'd suspect that as the source of the probelm and have it done again.
