Hey, I have a 93 850 GLT 5 spd with 120,000 miles on it. I had some problems recently with what i thought was a bad fuel pump...it turned out to just be a hose that had come undone that connects to the fuel pump. Ever since i got the hose replaced i have had trouble with it idleing when i have the clutch fully depressed or the car in neutral. The rpm's start out normal (900-1000 RPM) for about 30 seconds and then the RPM starts jumping...it drops to 400 or 500 RPM and then jumps back up to 900 RPM all in a single second. It repeatedly does this until you start driving again. After the car has warmed up it occasionally stops and hovers at the normal RPM, but sometimes the RPM will be higher than normal...about 1500 RPM. Also when i got the car back i would bring a gear to about 3000 RPM before shifting...lets say i depressed the cluth or put it in neutral to coast down a hill the engine would wind back down to 0 RPM very slowly, I still have this problem but it has lessened over time. I have no clue what either of these problems are. The only guesses i have are that i may have a dirty throttle body or maybe the fuel pressure regulator is no good...i really dont know what to think about this one. Does anyone know what this problem could be? Also the check engine light has been on since the hose fell off the fuel pump, when you read the chip no codes come up but the engine light remains lit. If you have any information on this too please tell me.
