New tranny and New PNP and now flashing arrow!!! 850 1993

Since all else failed, I replaced the PNP switch and I still had problems, so broke down and replaced the tranny with a warranted rebuilt. The switch was installed about a week before the tranny, and the tranny has been in a week. All was fine until yesterday when, stuck in traffic and cruising at a whopping 2 mph, the dang arrow started flashing and mode selector lights starting blinking (econ/sport). The flashing lasted about 24 hours and then went out. I was freaked to see the dang arrow again so soon!

Is it the switch, or the tranny, or both??? I haven't taken it back to see if any codes set, but plan to do on Monday. Would like some feedback to prepare me for what the shop will have to say (which I'm afraid will be no codes, no problem).
