I have 137,000 miles on my T5's clutch so far (thereby exceeding my expectations), and yes, it is a BEAR to change it! I'd try to put it off as long as possible. You might "luck out" and need the main seal first if you nurse it along for a while and even if you don't you should do the main seal at the same time while everything is apart! Go for first rate not cheap parts since you don't want to go through it all again.
