Bad Bad Emissions troublemaker 850

Dear emission specialists,
1997 850GLT, 80,000mi., 4 year owner, no recent repairs to relate to following problem.

Trouble Code #PO410 with a generic code reader is interpreted in the Chilton catalog as:

"Pulsed secondary air injection system (PAIR), flow fault Pulsed secondary air injection system (PAIR) pump, flow fault Pulsed secondary air injection system (PAIR) valve, leakage Pulsed secondary air injection system (PAIR) pump, signal"

symptoms: check engine comes back on every 2-3 days of driving, no other codes come up, the loud whirring sound of an air pump does not come on, as the usual, during start up of the engine (any relation?).

Car runs great even with Shreck Engine light.

Ride em cowboy
