Front brakes - stock or others? 850

I am a big believer in genuine Volvo parts and always use them.
Recently I had my rear main seal replaced by a mechanic who only works on Volvos and has been doing it for a long time.
He said that he uses genuine Volvo parts for all his jobs, with only one exception - front brake rotors and pads. He said that based on his experience Brembo rotors and PBR Deluxe pard are the best solution.

My question is - will I get the same (great) Volvo brakes performance with this combo? Or I should stay with Volvo parts?
