Emergency Brake Adjustment 850

How do you adjust the emergency brake? Handle is high when applied, almost all the way to the armrest. Brakes are new, so I am figuring the mechanics just never adjusted the e-brake (prior to my purchase of this 850T Wagon). Is this simple to do?
