I'm Vitor. I have good and bad news for you.
The ABS Control Unit on your 94 Volvo does not fail like the ones on the 96 and newer vehicles. I have not seen a defective one yet. As you state it.

Your problem may be associated with a bad ignition switch or a bad connection under the fuse(or relay?) box. Search www.volvospeed.com for these two subjects.
Also, you will find instructions to read the codes. Once you have the codes, you may be able to pinpoint the cause of your problem.
