So I'm looking for a replacement Volvo... 850 1995

I think you should go for it. If you have can work on a car then 60% of repair charges are gone. You shouldnt be too concerned if the abs fails since you have been driving a 80s model car. rear main seal can come up if not already. I bought mine after the seal was done by the dealer. I've had the timing belt done on mine and it wasnt much to replace by the indy. Everything else i've done myself. I guess if i didnt do it myself then the car would be expensive to maintain. All in all its an excellent car and a head turner.
