Could a throttle problem left unrepaired lead to transmission problem -- 1999 S80? S80 1999

ETC (Throttle module) is a very common problem with S80 cars. You're looking at about $1,000.00 if the car is out of warranty.

A failure of the ETC will cause your car to drive in limp mode until the problem is corrected. Sometimes you can turn the car off. Re-start (Sounds like windows software, LOL) and continue driving for a while until the problem occurs again.
The longer you wait to replace the ETC, the longer you will experience the problem.
I think you need a second opinion on the transmission issue.
IMHO, I think you should address the ETC problem first and wait to see how the transmission works after that.
The transmission is controled by a computer that is affected by the ETC and sometimes ABS malfunctions.

By the way, I currently have 3 ETC modules I have been testing and inspecting so I can offer this service as well.
