strut tools 850 1995

You are correct, 850 does use the same tools. I used these tools to unlose the two nuts on top of the OEM strut. Then I used the star shape tool to tighten the star back on the Bilstein strut and then the other tool along with the allen wrench to tighten the top big nut on the Bilstein. So, actually 999 5468 did apply. The allen wrench went into the center hole of the 999 5468 while a 1/2" ratchet went into the 999 5468.

You are correct with the spring compressor. I used the clamshell type to compress the spring. It was very safe with these type of compressor but pricey.
