Correction - Am I the only one to find that the cupholders aren' t deep enough? S70

It is not your imagination and I do have a suggestion:

The previous owner of my '98 V70 T5M removed the little spring loaded "thingy" on the bottom, which defines the depth to which a cup may be placed. He did this only on the front hole of the 2-hole holder.

Now the front hole works wonderfully with those travel mugs which have a step diameter increase about 2 inches from the bottom. However, don't try to use it for those cups which have a gradual (non-step) increase in diameter, e.g. a McDonald's styrofoam coffee cup, or it will wedge itself into the hole and guarantee a spill as you try to remove it. That is why you do not alter the rear hole in the holder; you can still use that one for such cups.
