If the volvo is a USA version, it should work (diesels may have been exempt).
It will return any trouble code (whether generic or manufacturer specified)
for powertrain controllers. There may be manufacturer specific data other than
trouble codes which it will not retrieve, and it won't retrieve any data from
non-powertrain controllers, such as abs brake controllers, airbag controllers,
ride control systems, etc. It also will not reset the indicators for routine
service reminders, oil change indicators, etc.
