Volvo airconditioning S70

Has anyone had problems with the airconditioners on Volvos? I have a 1997 S70 since new, which has had leaks in the aircon system over the last few years. After quite a few refills, the dealer workshop said it was the high pressure hose. Repair bill A$500. Within three months, the airocn was running on empty. This time they said it was the evaporator. Repair bill A$1500. It seems to be running ok now, but for how long it will, I can only guess. I had problems with aircon in a 240 and an 850 that I owned before. But hardly any problems mechanically! You have to experience the Australian Sun in summer to appreciate the value of airconditioning - hope Volvo will get it right some day.
