If you are handy with a soldering iron, I'd go around and check all the solder joints on the ABS brain. Volvo solder joints aren't the best, and while many would replace the climate control unit on their 940's, I saved a ton of money by resoldering some cracked connections on my ECC unit. Besides, one bad solder joint would render the ABS module, well, "dead". And many don't think about the stresses of heat up and cool down many many times on the electronics. Worth a shot.
