Turn off 'On Call Plus Message!?' S80

I don't have an S80 (yet). Test drove the S80 and the little orange triangle lit up the whole time saying something about On Call Plus subscription. my question is... do you "have to" subscribe to On Call Plus to make the little warning triangle to go away? I know you can click the little switch on the stick to turn off the message every time when you insert the key. Is there a way to make the message disappear forever?
