Is it time to change an anternator? 850 1995

I would forgo the rebuild and put in a Bosch rebuilt unit. Fairly economical on the internet, 2 year warranty typically. Changing out the Alt in my 93 was a big job. Would not want to get the whole thing back together only to find out that the alt would need to be removed again in a short period of time.

My 93 had a pretty big groove cut in the armature where the brushes rode. I would have needed to replace that part any way had I tried to have our local shop rebuild the unit. I was glad to go with the Bosch rebuild. Right around $190 on the net if I remember.
