My Saab 9000 is getting long in the tooth and I'm Thinking of a new S60 -- Asking advice S60

My mostly trouble free '87 Saab has close to 200K miles and I'm concerned about using it for long trips. We have tried a Saab 93 and a Volvo S60AWD: Although the Saab was a better handling car, we like the S60 better because it is quieter and more comfortable. However, as I have never had a Volvo beforeI have a number of concerns:

1. How reliable is the vehicle -- I have heard bad things about the 850. Can I expect 200K miles on this?

2. Does the AWD add too much complexity -- will it reduce the reliability?

3. The dealer recommends doing the European delivery as it greatly reduces the price and allows one to fine tune the options rather than purchasing the option packages. Any thoughts here?

4. What's with the 5 cylinder engine -- it's out of balance? Does that do a number on the motor mounts and the rest of the drive train?

5. Any adviceand suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
