Air Conditioning Problem V70-XC70 1999

Warm weather has come to New England and I tried my AC this week. After running well for a few minutes with plenty of cold air, I began to hear a tick sound coming from the dash. This tick is very pronounced and occurs about every 10-12 seconds. One tick at a time. In addition after about 5-6 minutes of running the AC beginnings to make a "hissing" noise again coming from the vents. Neither of these sounds is immediate when the AC is turned on. Has anyone had this issue before and can help with a possible cause?
