Factory Alarm 850 t5 1996

hi all,

ok here's my problem. when i purchased my car the lady said that she had some battery problem when she left her car at the airport - cut a long story short

anyway the recovery person removed the alarm relay 'Brain' from the drivers footwell and has bridged 2 pins in order to bypass the imobiliser.

anyway the lady stated this needed to be re-installed by volvo

i reinserted the relay but as soon as you open the door the alarm sounds, i tryed to disable by using the key fob - no joy i even brought new batteries :-(

also tryed to lock and open the door using the key but no joy

anyone know much about these units? do they need to be reset, is there any special procedure to activate / deactiate the alarm?

thanks in adavnce
