More power from a NA V70? V70-XC70 1998

yes there are a couple of firms that offer a 10 hp increase or so for $400.
These are new ECU chips that you have to replace. I have a base 1999 V70, no AWD
(thanks, who needs that on the west coast?, no bevel gears to worry about BTW). If one wants more punch go to a LPT or HPT which one can tweak to over 300HP.
But with gas prices as they are and heading to, basic question I ask myself is
why?. Go to www. volvospeed.com to start out a search whats out there. I did
it just to be curious on whats out there. Another thing is that a base engine is
2.4L while all Turbos are 2.3L. Why? more metal around the cylinders to handle
the increase power.
