Service Engine Light 850 1996

It is possible that the bulb is bad or that is has been removed by a previous owner.

The following link will help you replace the bulb yourself. On a scale of 1-10 this is about a 3. Easy DIY job. The bulb can be purchased from the dealer, or look around on EBay (I have seen dash panel light kits a few times).

Look under the Repairs/ Maintenance Tab
Enter Bay 13, and towards the bottom of the list is Instrument Cluster Removal.

Don't be intimidated by this project, it is rather straightforward. Print the article for refference as you work. While the unit is out, you can test all other blubs with a tester (multimeter). They are designed to be testable without removing them from their locations.

Good luck...
