Tires 850 1996

It's time for new tires for my 850 turbo - the one with the bone jarring sport suspension - and I'm considering the Yokohama Avid V4S in 205/55VR16 in place of the present Bridgestone 205/50's. Questions are first, has anyone had experience of these, and if you all approve(!), what pressures would you run them at? I've also heard about this size rubbing on the inside of the fender, is this the case with the sport suspension? Seems it should not be the case as this size is as far a I understand the OEM alternative to the 205/50's.
Again I will take the advice of the experts.
Many thanks,
The Bear
